Position Overview

As the Director of Transportation, you will oversee the shuttle, valet and parking services at one of the largest regional hospital centers in the state.  With a team of 50 associates, you will ensure thousands of customers park and retrieve their vehicles in a timely manner while transporting hundreds of passengers throughout the campus every single day.  The qualified candidate must posses direct experience in the shuttle operations space and will play a key role on the Premier Parking team when it comes to managing all operational logistics and client services while growing our portfolio in this city through business development, sales and marketing.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures the daily operations within his/her area of responsibility perform in accordance of company policy by ensuring each location is properly staffed, and follows set opening and closing procedures.
  • Leads teams, comprised of both professional and hourly workforce individuals, by sourcing candidates, ensuring onboarding and training are provided consistently, develops key talent, and is ultimately responsible for all employee status change decisions.
  • Leads the region's business development objectives by sourcing leads, and driving the RFP process from start to finish.
  • Reviews management reports and client statements on a consolidated basis to ensure actual financial results meet both corporate and client budget expectations.
  • Monitors vehicle storage and inventory by overseeing security of storage lots, keeping track of all vehicles received and released, directing the placement and repositioning of vehicles on the lots.
  • Ensures detailed records of vehicle and equipment inventories and administers contracts with vendors.
  • Oversees the installation, upgrade, operation and staff training of all related vehicle, equipment and software applications.

Minimum Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or related field required.
  • Minimum of five years experience in fleet management with at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • Established experience in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
