Position Overview: As the company continues to grow, so do the needs of the Human Resources department. This is a newly created position that will provide support to the Human Resources department for San Francisco Parking Inc. We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in a career in Human Resources, is tech savvy, asks a lot of questions and has creative ideas.                     


General HR Responsibilities and Expected Results:

  • Support the HR Generalist and HR Director to meet 2013 HR Initiatives
  • Support HR department in areas including but not limited to benefits, employee relations, employment law compliance, payroll, recruiting, training and uniforms.
  • Schedule, prepare and coordinate HR meetings at the corporate office
  • Able to juggle day-to-day functions of the department in addition to long-term projects
  • Maintain a reasonable discipline and decorum (e.g. good phone skills, professional demeanor, friendly presence and helpful attitude, ability to work well with others, etc.)
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proactive initiative taker; asks questions
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned


Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Screen resumes and applications, schedule interviews and correspond with candidates on next steps in the interview process
  • Coordinate with hiring managers on recruitment plans, job descriptions and posting on job boards, career fairs, university career days and more
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with vendors, universities and employment offices to meet recruiting needs
  • Prepare pre-interview paperwork for hiring managers
  • Administer various tests depending on the job opening
  • Coordinate and schedule pre-employment drug screens and background checks

Training Program Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, set-up, book and clean-up meeting spaces for various HR trainings
  • Correspond and confirm attendance of attendees for the appropriate training meetings
  • Prepare and update training materials including but not limited to handouts, PowerPoint presentations, scenarios and other training materials


Payroll, Benefits and Compensation Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payroll changes and documentation for status changes, increases, payroll deductions and more
  • Assist with new hire, on-boarding, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, union documentation, termination, off-boarding and other duties as needed
  • Assist with changes, enrollments, implementations and terminations during open enrollment process and when benefit eligible


HR System Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Human Resources systems including data entry, compile reports and analyze data as needed
  • Super-user of Background Check System: coordinate integration from Applicant Tracking System and review results
  • Super-user of Applicant Tracking System: work with hiring teams, reviewing applications, approval processes and requisitions.
  • Super-user of Performance Management System: Maintain and ensure smooth workflow of performance management
  • Learn, maintain and help implement new systems


Education, Experience and Technical Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Associates Degree with 2 years experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management (highly desired)
  • Experience working in a HR department (highly desired)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (required)
  • Accurately type at 50+ WPM
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner, asks intelligent questions and presents solutions if a problem arises
  • Excellent written and oral communication with a friendly demeanor
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog and/or Vietnamese, a plus
